Mr. Zahos Stamoulis was born and raised in Skopelos. He has always been fascinated by photography. He started to do photography as an amateur hobby and eventually developed into an amazing professional photographer. Recently, his first photographic album was published with unique images of Skopelos through his eyes and his camera.

Αs described by the photographer artist Zahos Stamoulis himself

“After 35 years of practicing photography, the day has come for one of my life-long
dreams to come true: it is the book I published in 2021.
Skopelos was and still is my main source of inspiration.
Selecting -out of thousands- the photographs you will find on these pages was no easy
task for me. My goal has always been for each photograph to be unique and masterful
–both in terms of technique and aesthetics- and to capture more than what the eye of
the onlooker can see.
This place, apart from its breathtaking beauty, possesses, also, a Soul and a Pulse, due
to its rich history and the uninterrupted presence of human activity for almost 3,600
years now. Skopelos’ significant uniqueness is that it manages to invoke, in both its
inhabitants and visitors, a sense of emotional security, calmness, reflection and
wholeness.
Through my photographs and through my personal outlook and aesthetics, has
always been my number one priority to transmit to the audience at least a fraction of
that sense, along with the awe, magic, and charm that this island possesses.
I wish and hope that this book will become a scrapbook of beautiful memories for
every visitor of Skopelos, a piece of this place that he or she will carry with him/her
back home, as well as a powerful incentive for all of you still undecided on whether to
visit Skopelos, to do so in the near future.”
