The lush island of Skopelos is famous for its majestic landscapes and beautiful beaches. On Skopelos beaches, the combination of the green pine trees with the deep blue of the sea creates exotic scenery. Εxcept for the beaches with crystal clear waters where the trees spread their roots, Skopelos is also popular for the traditional Chora. It is, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful towns on the Greek islands. After all, Skopelos Chora has gained the title of the “traditional settlement”.

The closest beaches to Skopelos Town are Stafylos, just 4 km away, as well as Glysteri beach, just 4,2 km away and Agios Konstantinos or Glyfoneri beach, just 2,6 km away.

However, if you wish to stay in town and go to a beach inside Skopelos Chora, you do have some good choices to do so. Since there are beaches to swim in, Skopelos Chora.

The first choice is Ammos Beach, Skopelos. Ammos beach is an organised one, with not only umbrellas and sun loungers, but also beach volleyball to have some sports time. Ammos beach is on your left, reaching  Skopelos port and descending from the ship. Ammos Cafe is a good choice to have a drink or even a meal.

You will find Ambeliki beach, Skopelos, on the way to Asklepieion. Plakes beach, Skopelos, Milos beach. Another choice of beaches to Swim in, Skopelos Chora, is below the Panagitsa of Pyrgos.  There is a beach with big pebbles.

Remember that these beaches are not as extraordinary as the others in Skopelos.
