Skopelos Beaches Limnonari

Limnonari is an organized beach, where you will find two picturesque taverns. The pine trees that embrace the emerald green waters, the white sand, and the small pebbles make up the magnificent scenery on the Limnonari beach. According to the legend, the name comes from the Greek god Aris (the lake of Aris), who was fascinated by its beauty. Another version of the name is “small lake” (the lake in Greek is “leemne”), since in this bay the waters are always calm.

Limnonari Beach not only features crystal clear waters, white sand, and wind protection but also a unique seabed. The slab of calcium that you will meet in the shallow water is beautiful. So you should be careful with the sea stone when you enter it. The pine trees and the green surrounding the beach make the already gorgeous scenery even more impressive.

Limnonari Beach is approximately 10 km from Skopelos Town. Access is easy, there is a road network, and when you arrive, you will find parking. You can always use local transport as well. Limnonari is 1.5 km from Agnontas Beach and 5 km from Stafylos Beach. The route is wonderful in the green nature of Skopelos. You have to be careful towards the end of the route because the road is narrow and turns. There is also boat access.

At Skopelos Limnonari Beach you will enjoy delicious food and fresh fish in the two taverns while the  Apanemo beach bar provides you with coffee, refreshments, and snacks. The beach has umbrellas and deck chairs. Impressively beautiful scenery with crystal clear waters and all the comforts to make your day unforgettable. There is also the possibility of water sports.
