Xenia Marlitsi, a Skopelos artist, expresses memory and heritage through her paintings and exhibitions in Greece and abroad

​​​‌​‌​‌​​​‌‌‌‌ Xenia Marlitsi is an artist from Skopelos, born in Volos in 1981. The daughter of Kokkitsa Marlitsi (maiden name Vlachostamatis) and Vangelis Maritsis. And attended the Hagiography School of the Holy Metropolis of Demetriados during the period 1999-2002. In 2010, she graduated from the Athens School of Fine Arts in painting. She has participated in group exhibitions in Athens, Thessaloniki, and Cyprus. Her first solo exhibition, “Skopelos of Memory,” took place in 2012 at the Melanithros art gallery. It was dedicated to the memory of her father, Vangelis Maritsis. He was one of the passengers of the ship Attica, which sank in 1985 in Skiathos. Xenia Marlitsi had two exhibitions in 2015 and 2016 in the building of the Agricultural Co-operative of Skopelos, while those interested in her works can admire her personal site https://polyxenimarlitsi.weebly.com/
