Townhouse 45 is an 18th-century merchants house situated in the best part of Skopelos Town, The Castro ( The Castle ).

The house is large and is spread over three floors, with spacious rooms, double doors, traditional features, and Skopeletian antique furniture. As the house is on the corner there are views from three sides of the sea, the harbor, the village, and the mountains. The lanes are too small for vehicles so the area is quiet at night.

The accommodation is for up to 6 people in two large bedrooms and a sofa bed on the upper landing.

Opening the front door you enter a large sitting room with comfortable sofas. There is a television set up for British TV, Netflix plus many other cable channels. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to make a family meal. The refrectory table seats six and can also be used as a workstation and charging point. There is free internet throughout the house and Alexa.

Townhouse 45 is one of the few houses in the Castro that offers outside space. A few steps from the kitchen lead up to the courtyard with a large outside table and chairs. The pergola is covered with bougainvillea. There is an outside toilet and utility room with a large fridge freezer and washing machine.

There are two staircases up to the next floor, one from the courtyard and one from the kitchen. There is a large hallway with entry to the first double bedroom and the first bathroom. The bedroom has a super king-size bed, air conditioning a large double wardrobe. There is a desk and chair where you could set up a work area. The bathroom has a double sink and a walk-in shower with good water pressure.

Up to the top floor, you enter a very large hallway including a sofa bed and with views up to the Castro. There is a large bedroom with two single beds. The bedroom has air conditioning and a balcony with views to three sides. There is the second bathroom with a large sink and walk-in shower.

Skopelos is best explored by car. You can park at the free car park at the top village. It is called Milos Square. Walking down the steps from the old water tap at the top of the Kastro you will first see the courtyard and the back of the house. You can park a car in the free harbor car park and walk up past the old well, to the front of the house. Look out for the 45 sign.

You will be staying in a traditional Greek village. Greek old ladies, Greek families, and Europeans with holiday homes all live in this area. People wake up early and the rubbish is collected at 7 a.m. by mule. Siesta time is from 4 to 6 pm. Greek people go to bed at midnight.

We provide a housekeeping service and you will be met at the ferry and walked to the front door of the house. The linen and towels are changed every four days and the house is cleaned once a week. This is included in the rental fee. If you require a more frequent linen and towel change, we can arrange this for you. The housekeeper lives next door.
