FROM SKIATHOS TO SKOPELOS

Travel to Skopelos by plane. Skopelos has no airport. Northern Sporades travelers can make use of Skiathos Airport, (Skiathos National Airport, Alexandros Papadiamantis JSI).
Skiathos Airport is only 3 km away from Skiathos Port. In five minutes by car, you are at the port ready to continue your journey to the green Skopelos Island. From Skiathos to Skopelos you go only by sea. More details are following:

For your transfer from Skiathos to Skopelos there are two options:

A. BOATS FROM SKIATHOS TO THE PORTS OF SKOPELOS.

The most economical way to reach Skopelos from Skiathos is by boat.
During summer, ferry boats, and high-speed and flying dolphins are on the Northern Sporades route daily.
These routes cover Volos – Sporades, Mantoudi – Sporades, and Thessaloniki – Sporades (For Summer 2024 it has not yet been announced whether the Thessaloniki route will be available)
Skopelos has 3 ports: Skopelos, Glossa, Agnontas.

The cost of the ship from Skiathos to Skopelos varies. The price depends on the vessel and the company.

b. flying dolphin erato FROM SKIATHOS TO SKOPELOS

In the summer of 2023 from Friday 09/06 until Monday 31/07 the Flying Dolphin ERATO will have an extra itinerary every Monday, Friday, and Saturday from Skiathos to Skopelos at 19:00.

For the Summer of 2024, the routes are expected to be announced shortly after Easter.

c. WATER TAXI FROM SKIATHOS TO SKOPELOS

The shortest way (but the most expensive one) to get from Skiathos to Skopelos is the water taxi.
The water taxis just travel you to the port/destination you want and are available 24 hours per day. The only reason water taxis can not travel is the weather conditions. In this case, visitors should use the ships that will be available. The water taxi can get usually from 1 to 5 passengers. The journey with the water taxi meets all the safety rules.

The prices from Skiathos to Skopelos are as follows:

Skiathos to:

– Glossa: 150€ 1-5 persons-180€ up to 6 persons-200€  up to 8 persons. 25 min
– Elios: Plus 20 € per person, 30 min
– Adrina Hotels: 160€, 30 min
– Agnontas: 200€ up to 1-5 persons. 250€ up to 8 persons, 35-40 min

Skiathos Water Taxi works directly with Adrina Hotels (Adrina Beach, Adrina Resort and Spa, and Adrina Grand Hotel). Not only from Skiathos but also from Evia.

The transfer cost from:

a. Skiathos – Adrina Hotels is 160€ for up to 4 people and the journey lasts 30 minutes.

b. Psaropouli (Evia) – Adrina Hotels (each route) is 300€ for up to 4 persons and the journey lasts 45 minutes.

c. Adrina-Elivi (Skiathos) 200€ 1-5 persons,250€ up to 8 persons.

After the 20:00 to 21:30 departure, there is an extra charge of 70€ from Skiathos and 100€ from Evia and Pelion. For other hours of operation, please contact the owner of the water taxi.

GENERAL INFORMATION

TIP 1 Please keep in mind: the earlier you will land in Skiathos the more options we will have to find an alternative in case of bad weather.

TIP 2 Often there is no direct response between airplanes and ferries. So in the evening arrival, you will probably need an overnight stay. For this reason, checking your air tickets and the ferries is advisable.

TIP 3 Ferry tickets are usually available. However, you must book your tickets for the Northern Sporades on time, especially during July and August.
