FROM SKIATHOS TO SKOPELOS

Travel to Skopelos by plane. Skopelos has no airport. Northern Sporades travelers can make use of Skiathos Airport, (Skiathos National Airport, Alexandros Papadiamantis JSI).
Skiathos Airport is only 3 km away from Skiathos Port. In five minutes by car, you are at the port ready to continue your journey to the green Skopelos Island. From Skiathos to Skopelos you go only by sea. More details are following:

For your transfer from Skiathos to Skopelos there are two options:

A. BOATS FROM SKIATHOS TO THE PORTS OF SKOPELOS.

The most economical way to reach Skopelos from Skiathos is by boat.
During summer, 3-4 ferries (ferry boats or high-speed) or flying dolphins are in the Northern Sporades route on a daily basis.
These routes cover Volos – Sporades, Mantoudi – Sporades, Agios Konstantinos – Sporades, and Thessaloniki – Sporades.
Skopelos has 3 ports: Skopelos, Glossa, Agnontas.

The cost of the ship from Skiathos to Skopelos varies from 8,60€ to 18 € / person / single pass. The price depends on the vessel and the company.

B. WATER TAXI FROM SKIATHOS TO SKOPELOS

The shortest way (but the most expensive one) to get from Skiathos to Skopelos is the water taxi.
The water taxis just travel you to the port/destination you want and are available 24 hours per day. The only reason water taxis can not travel is the weather conditions. In this case, visitors should use the ships that will be available. The waters taxi can get from 1 to 5 passengers. The usual number of passengers is 4.

GENERAL INFORMATION

TIP 1 Please keep in mind: the earlier you will land in Skiathos the more options we will have to find an alternative in case of bad weather.

TIP 2 Often there is no direct response between airplanes and ferries. So in the case of an evening arrival, you will probably need an overnight stay. For this reason, it is advisable to check your air tickets along with the ferries.

TIP 3 Ferry tickets are usually available. However, you must book your tickets for the Northern Sporades on time, especially during the months of July and August.
