Skopelos Artists

Xenia Maritsis is an artist from Skopelos who was born in Volos in 1981. The daughter of Kokkitsa Marlitsi (maiden name Vlachostamatis) and Vangelis Maritsis. And attended the Hagiography School of the Holy Metropolis of Demetriados during the period 1999-2002.

In 2010 she graduated from the Athens School of Fine Arts in the field of painting. She has participated in group exhibitions in Athens, Thessaloniki, and Cyprus. Her first solo exhibition took place in 2012 at the “Melanithros” art gallery called “Skopelos of Memory”. She was dedicated to the memory of her father, Vangelis Maritsis. He was one of the passengers of the ship “Attica” that sank in 1985 in Skiathos.
