Azan Skopelos kitchen is a new entry in the area Sofadakia of Skopelos Chora. The taverna offers a traditional kitchen and dishes with flavors of “the good old times”. The origin of the name “Azan” or “Arzan”(which is a quality of plum) comes from the French city Agen.
At Azan Skopelos the guest will have the opportunity to taste delicious fresh cooked meals based on traditional recipes made of local products. All the meals, the desserts, the sandwiches, and the delicacies are handmade.
Τhe menu of the cooked dishes changes daily. Some basics dishes are the following: roast beef with pasta, moussaka, pastitsio, cuttlefish with wild greens, green peas stew, pan-fried pork in wine sauce, baked giant beans, oven-baked meatballs with potato mash, clay pot cooked greek chickpea stew, cannelloni filled with mincemeat, shrimps in tomato sauce, chicken casserole in lemon sauce and many other choices.
At Azan Skopelos there are also delicious sandwiches and crepes as well as handmade desserts. There is also a variety of fresh salads and desserts. The cookers made the menu on a daily base in such a way so as to offer a balanced diet to visitors.
The traditional kitchen stays open not only during the summer season but also in winter offering excellent meals. The hours of operation are from 7:30 in the morning till 7 at night.
Moreover, visitors can enjoy their lunch in the taverna or take it away. The atmosphere is very friendly and the service is prompt. There are also delivery services from 12:00 pm-7:00 pm.
Azan is in Skopelos Chora just few meters from Skopelos port. Being in Skopelos Chora do not miss to visit the popular chapel Panagitsa of Pyrgos.
